Richard O’Connor: 25 Years of Results-Driven Coaching

My mission is to provide the Poole and Bournemouth community with a standard of coaching that goes far beyond the "hour in the gym." Over a quarter-century in this industry, my work has spanned the entire human spectrum—from training international athletes at the peak of their sport to supporting clients with severe disabilities in regaining their independence.


With 25 years of coaching experience, my 9 year foundation in the Royal Marines and competing in 170km mountain ultras—I’ve learned that whether I am coaching an international athlete or a client navigating a severe disability, the blueprint for success is the same. It isn’t about the "fad" of the month; it’s about a bespoke solution relative to your specific goals, grounded in clear communication and unwavering accountability.


My approach is firm but fair. I believe in presenting the right challenges at the right time, but more importantly, I believe in education. I don't just want you to follow a program; I want to provide you with the tools and the knowledge to own your own trajectory. Whether we are focused on injury rehabilitation, health longevity, or peak sports performance in Poole and Bournemouth, we work together to build a more resilient version of you.
